`Assignmentt #3 – Tattoo
a) What does your logo/tattoo represent?
My tattoo represents my name and my astrological sign, which is aries, since I was born in between, March 21 – April 20.
b) How did you design your logo/tattoo to represent this?
To make my tattoo show my name and my astrological sign, I just wrote my name there, and just to make it look a bit different, I wrote my name again upside down under it. Then I just found my astrological sign, which is aries, and i added that to the side of my name.
`Assignment #2 – Self portrait
a) What were you trying to express and
how did you achieve this?
I was trying to express that I am a peaceful person and just like to live life. I am calm and just like to enjoy the moment. to show this, I didnt use too many bright and shiny colours, I tried using toned colours and tried to use around the same kinds of colours throughout, so the picture flowed nicely together.
b) What filters did you use and where?
In my Self Portrait, I used 3 filters. I used the “Poster Edges” for one of my pictures; layer 5. I used the “Film Grain” filter on my other picture; layer 4. And on the background I used the “Paint Daubs” filter.
c) What layer blending mode did you use and where?
The layer blending mode i used was the Outter glow, which was on my title, Peaceful.
d) What special brush did you use and where?
I used a bit of Star 40 for my bottom right picture.
`Assignment #1 – Magazine Cover.
a) What qualities of your magazine cover make it effective? (eg. What makes it eye catching?, What about it promotes curiosity?, How is it visually pleasing?, What makes it easy to understand?)
The Qualities that my magazine cover that make it effective are that I made my magazine look professional. I used colors that go and work well together on my magazine cover.
b) What was the order of hierarchy you were trying to achieve for the elements on your magazine cover?
The order of Hierarchy I was trying to achieve for the elements of my magazine were
1. Title
2. Picture
3. Storyline
4. Secondary story line.
